Star Trek vs Star Wars by ApolloNui Star Trek vs Star Wars by ApolloNui
Simple cut and paste of the Enterprise and the cloning of a few laser firings. I did this a few years ago back when I was still in high school and now it's kinda bothering me how you can obviously tell where I cloned the stars in the background.... oh well.

I have nothing against Star Trek.

The ISD would probably stress the Enterprise's shields and systems with ion cannon blasts while the Enterprise's crew tries to take a shot for the bridge with a Photon Torpedo... Or get the fuck out of there and come back with more ships.

made me smile, I had a vision of the Enterprise saucer section being replaced with a smoothed out Millennium Falcon saucer shape, but lack the skills to do such a thing myself.

Oooh, now that would be an interesting fight... The SSD would have a slight edge in firepower (weaker weapons, but more of them) and the Connie would have much better shields, but more fragile armour...

Still think the edge would go to the Star Destroyer, though. Connie's crew would really have to be on the ball to win this one.

Ah, a vessel with limited aft weapons and shields of questionable effectiveness vs. a slightly larger vessel with NO aft weapons and shields of even MORE questionable effectiveness.

But don't worry fans of both series. That Star Destroyer is run by replaceable bad guys, so if the Enterprise blows it up you have nothing to worry about. And the Enterprise isn't going to lose because it has Kirk and "SpAHHhk." (Shatner voice fail).

No, more likely scenario is that the enterprise blows up, sacrificed so Kirk and Spock can take the destroyer. Just have Luke on their side, and the Destroyer is as good as theirs.

Unless clone assassins or Dark troopers are on board. Then Kirk's chances of winning are up a rats asshole. They'll board the enterprise and tear it to pieces.

Dark Troopers can throw a monkey wrench into that plan. They can take out an entire base before the other side even got off from their beds and put on their panties.

Eh. Never really heard of them until now. EU, right?

EU doesn't really count. Besides, the chances of a Star Destroyer having Dark Troopers as it just happens to fight an unknown vessel are slim.

EU kinda does. All or nothing.

According to Battlefront 2, Dark Troopers are spread across the empire. They're a typical class. As a rebel, I've fought them all over the place.

No, since the Durasteel armor is made from Neutronium and the guns of an ISD has 200 gigatons per shot.

Goodby enterprise.

As I said, goodbye enterprise.

The enterprise has survived things harder than that.. Not to mention the technology of Star Trek does not keep them from beaming the pilot right out of the craft...

Beaming doesn't work through shields.Especially shields far stronger than the enterprise's. With each ISD having a core that is literally a sun, expending more energy than a star does in its lifetime, it probably can just ram the Enterprise, considering that in realtime speed or in hyperspeed, an ISD can outrun any version of the Enterprise, as the first movie showed them catching up to the Falcon.

You also have to take into effect that the Empire has been destroyed... 1 enterprise is the least of their concerns when there is a republic of rebels who have not just once, but twice destroyed the Deathstar... and Shields can be taken down as their generators are not protected.... the new Trek which is focused on in STO the game, a group of maybe 10 starfleet vessels not all Galaxy Class starships can and have taken down countless borg cubes... all of which are more than 4 times the size of a Destroyer, able to kill shields in an instant regardless of strength... with Adaptive Shielding which means each beam you shoot at it will be 100 percent deflected if the frequency has not been changed... Not to mention Borg Encryption Hacks into your mainframe which are impossible to reverse unless done so by a Borg. And the Borg Cubes have Transwarp capability able to transport 70,000 Lightyears in a matter of weeks. And the new Trek has Liberated Borg within their crews.

I'm a fan of both... but ship wise... Trek has more advanced weaponry despite what you think. Multiphasic torpedos go right through shields like a hot knife through butter. Power of a Star has nothing on these bad boys.

Also, if you wanna go that way, with STO, THERE'S SHIPS IN SWTOR WITH SUPERLASERS THAT CAN KILL YOU IN HYPERSPACE SPEEDS. And another one which wipes out fleets. And both are mass manufacturable.

The true Sith Empire would destroy the Federation in a week.

Except that Durasteel is made of Neutronium. It's a neutronium armor with more improvements.

That, and the thick shields of SW worlds and ships means even multiphasic torpedoes won't get through. If having a fleet of ships that have 66 200 gigaton guns that fire twice or four times a second can't pierce it, I'm sure some torpedoes with special coating won't have better luck.

With borg encryption hacks........impossible. The borg would have problems even adapting to SW tech, since SW tech has been improved for over 25,000 years. The only way to hack SW computers, you need to be physically there, and having shields would make it impossible to beam aboard and hack things.

An ISD is a mile long. No ST ship is that big. Imperial ships are at least that big, and some are bigger.

And the Falcon, as well as any hyperdrive, can cross 120,000 lightyears in a matter of minutes, hours, or even seconds.

Read a book. The ICS, which is the G canon tech manual, leaves everything Trek in the dust.

That, and the Empire recovered easily despite there is no emperor. They still had a solid foothold in the outer rim, and they were strong enough to steamroll the Republic later on.

Power of a star means you can put that power to shields or firepower. Nothing that Trek can match.....

([link])

If this thing can survive 3 ships going at the speed of light ramming it, nothing in Trek can stop it. The only reason the Rebels won is through use of Imperial tech and leaders.

Ackbar was Tarkin's slave, while Madine was an Imperial specops general.

and they're using the 1960s model compared to the 1977 innovation of lucas... funding for a TV show was a lot less than a movie... Now compare it to the new Star Trek movie's Enterprise.. with all the awesome cannons and multi beams..

Plus Red Matter, Trek has it... not to mention have you played the STO game? there is so much you can do with one little ship which can wipe an armada of Star Wars ships... one of which is: A Tyken's Rift is a massive rupture in space into which energy is absorbed.

And being trapped inside one could mean disaster, and has destroyed many ships even Alien vessels with more advanced Technology, but the Enterprise figured out how to get out... That Destroyer would not have the ability to do so.

Won't work. SW shields and weapons are far above Trek weapons. Anything they can do, SW ships can do better.

The Star Destroyer would survive it and come out of it with the crew laughing.

And I'd like to add: about the little TIE fighters:

The TIE fighter was manufactured by Sienar Fleet Systems. While highly maneuverable, they had no shields and thus were easy to destroy.

Trek vehicles had Tachyon Beams which can disrupt a shield long enough to beam a Nuke right into the engineering bay of that ship.

Not to mention their warp speeds were faster, and can easily out maneuver that bulk. in which they can regroup, get some Defiant Class ships... A small armada of Trek ships wiped out the entire Cardassian and Dominion Armies both with superior firepower and numbers.

Trek shields are different from SW shields, especially in power level. That won't work.

Not when sublight drives of SW ships are so fast they jump through solar systems in hours, as the Falcon shows us in EPV where they got to another system with a broken hyperdrive.

The little TIE fighters can plow through the Starfleet ships, the latter of which have shields that can't survive 400 GW of particle energy, while the fighter blasters even in the Clone Wars have up to 64,000 GW of particle energy.
