Space Battleship

Hand drawn, scanned and then colored and edited in Photoshop. I made this a while ago but never posted it. I looked back at it and made a few changes to the background.

The first draft had it flying over a star with the lighting coming from underneath, but I realized that I didn't like the lighting. The blue paneling underneath may or may not be solar panels (I honestly don't know what they are). I thought the bare underside of the ship just looked too... empty. I figured that these panels might gather, collect or even project some sort of energy (like the hoverships in the Matrix Trilogy), so they may not necessarily be solar. It's pretty much open to personal interpretation. That's the fun of sci-fi.
